Jesus' Ascension Sunday! 

예수 승천 주일을 축하하기에 앞서 우리 저번주에 Teachers' Appreciation Sunday 였어요. 

그 때 저희 선생님들에게도 편지가 도착했어요. 편지를 나눠드리고, 저희 선생님들께 감사하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

그리고 오늘 저희 5월 생일자를 축하하는 시간을 가졌습니다. Happy Birthday to You!! 

Today's key verse was Mark 16:19 "So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God"

We talked about some key teachings from Jesus' Ascension from the passage, Mark 16:19.

We focused the three important verbs found in the passage, "Spoke," "Was taken up," and "Sat down."

1) What did Jesus teach his disciples after his resurrection and before his ascension? (Wait for the Holy Spirit / Go and make disciples)

2) "Was taken up" is a passive voice, not an active voice, which menas Jesus didn't lift himself up; he surrendered his final moment to God

3) And "Sat down," Jesus is given all authority in heaven and on earth and he rules over all around the world

What is he doing seated at the right hand of God? He prays for us and sends the Holy Spirit to us to help us to be more Jesus and understand his teachings.
