Do you know what kind of book the Book of Psalms is?

or those who serve on a praise team or worship team, the Book of Psalms is like a main textbook.

It is both a songbook and a worship book.

Do you know how many songs we sing that come from the Book of Psalms?

Do you remember the song we sang on Friday night? And even today?

"Give thanks to the Lord, our God and King, His love endures forever."

That's from Psalm 136.

What about our greeting? "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

That's from Psalm 118:24.

What else? "God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever!"

That's from Psalm 73.

Or, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."

That's from Psalm 51.

See? There are so many songs we already know and sing that come from the Psalms!

As we read and meditate on each psalm, I pray that God will create a melody in our hearts to praise and worship him.

1 John 4:19 says, “We love because he first loved us” 우리가 사랑함은 그가 먼저 우리를 사랑하셨음이라.

God loved us first, and then he gave his one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins.

And through Jesus Christ, he gave us his Spirit so that we might know the love of God revealed in Christ (v. 13).

The amazing truth is that God came to find us while we were still sinners.

When we deserved nothing good from God, he came to us. Love came to us. Love found us.

When we abide in the Father's love revealed in Christ,

when we deeply experience the height and depth, the length and width of his love for us, we become soaked in his love.

We begin to see ourselves differently. We begin to see others differently.

The love we receive from God naturally overflows into the lives of those around us.
