What a foolish man Samson was! He knew the story of his birth.

He knew that God had chosen him for a special purpose. But the way he lived out God’s plan was not right.

The time of the Judges was like a dark age for Israel. But that doesn’t mean God was not at work.

After 40 years of suffering and crying out to God, (you remember the cycle?) God raised up a man named Samson.

His birth was very special, and God had a special purpose for his life.

But as Samson grew up, he did whatever he wanted. He did what was right in his own eyes, just like many other people in those days -

not what was right in God’s eyes.

As you saw in the video, Delilah tempted Samson again and again.

Finally, he told her the secret he had kept since birth—the sign of his covenant with God.

After Delilah had Samson’s hair shaved, Samson’s strength was gone. His hair itself was not magical.

His uncut hair was a sign of his special calling and his relationship with God. But Samson didn’t know what had happened.

He thought, “I will go out as at other times and shake myself free.” (Judges 16:20)

But then the Scripture says something very sad: “But he did not know that the Lord had left him.”

But do you know what is amazing about God? God did not give up on Samson.

Samson had broken his covenant with God, but God did not give up on his covenant with Samson.

When Samson finally cried out, “O Lord God, please remember me and please strengthen me just once more.” (Judges 16:28)

Samson realized that he needed God again. And do you know what happened?

God answered his last prayer. And he used him to judge the Philistines.

Judges 16:22 “But the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.”

그의 머리털이 밀린 후에 다시 자라기 시작하니라.

But here is something very interesting: Samson’s hair had already begun to grow before he prayed his last prayer.

As soon as he was taken to the prison and suffered under the Philistines, the Scripture says the hair of his head began to grow.

That means God’s grace was already at work, even before Samson realized it.

Samson may not have known it yet, but God had not forgotten him. God was still working in his life.

His growing hair was a small sign of hope—a picture of God’s grace and a second chance.
