Throughout the story of Gideon, we learned some very important lessons.

God called Gideon to be one of the judges, and God used him to deliver Israel from the Midianites.

But as we look at the end of Gideon’s life, we see that his heart had changed.

Even though God was patient with his doubts and unbelief, and even though God strengthened him through amazing signs and experiences,

experiences alone cannot transform a person’s life.

We are only human. We need to rely on God every day and every moment.

That is why God sent his Spirit to be with us all the time.

Remember: God calls, and God qualifies those he calls. But never forget who called you.

We are not the king. We are called to serve the King.

Humble yourself before God. Don’t be another Gideon.
