When you go to a bookstore, where do you like to go? Maybe comic books? Or the funny stories? Maybe adventure books? Or essays?

In the best-seller section, you’ll find books by famous authors, like Han Kang.

Even though there are many authors, some are much better than others because they have won big prizes.

Books have different “levels,” not like school grades, but how special and deep they are inside.

Even a simple essay can be very different if a great author wrote it. The quality of a book can never rise above the level of its author.

So does the Bible! 

Who is the author of the Bible? God is the author of the Bible. That’s why the Bible is a God-level book.

You might wonder, “But didn’t people like Matthew, Luke, or John write the books in the Bible? Isn’t Matthew the author of the book of Matthew?”

Yes, that’s right! Matthew did write the book called Matthew, but he didn’t write it using only his own ideas or knowledge.

The Holy Spirit helped and inspired him to write what God wanted to say.

Just like when God told Moses to write down His commands, God used Moses as a messenger to pass His words to His people.

Inside the Bible, there are miracles, prophecies, promises that come true, and even stories we don’t fully understand.

Why? Because the Bible is a God-level book! The Bible is not just an ordinary book that requires perfect understanding.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

All these characteristics of the world can be summarized in just one phrase: loving themselves.

All the following evil behaviors come from that self-centered mindset. In this passage, Paul talks about what people will be like in the last days.

Most of these bad behaviors come from loving themselves too much. When people only think about themselves, they stop caring about God and others.

This makes them do selfish and hurtful things. So, the root of all these problems is self-centeredness - loving yourself more than anything else.

Apostle Paul commanded Timothy saying what? Stay away from those people. And then Paul goes on to say that,

“Timothy, you know…you know Jesus’ teaching. You know how I followed his teaching…you know the Scripture…”
