Even if someone has a great gift, if that gift is used to look down on others, make them feel inferior, or damage relationships,

then that is not the purpose of a spiritual gift. I don't believe it is functioning as a spiritual gift.

I would not call that a spiritual gift, because spiritual gifts are meant to strengthen, encourage, and serve one another for the common good.

God did not give us gifts to compete with one another.

He gave us gifts so that we can work together as one body and help each other grow in Christ.

No matter how small or unnoticed my gift may seem, if God can use it to strengthen others,

comfort others, and build others up in Christ, then I want to be grateful for that gift.

I no longer need to compare myself with anyone else.

Instead, I can thank God for the gifts he has given me and use them to serve others for the common good.
