We worship and praise God for who he is and what he has done! Thank you, God!

He says,
“Don’t you know that? Don’t you know that you are the temple of God? And God’s Spirit dwells in you?”
1 Corinthians 3:16

When Paul says, "You are God's temple," he is not mainly talking about individual believers.
He is talking about God's people together.
A temple is not made of just one stone. A building is not made of just one brick.
Many pieces are joined together to make one building, right?
In the same way, God is building his church by joining believers together in Christ.
Together, they are God's temple, the place where his Spirit dwells.
That is why division is such a serious problem.
When believers fight, divide into groups, and tear one another down, they are damaging the very temple that God is building.
Paul says,
“If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple” (3:17)

We should care about other believers, our brothers and sisters.
We should pray for others in order for us to build God’s temple, which means our community, our church.

Paul told the people in the church in Corinth that teachers and leaders are important.
We need them to help us grow in Christ. But the most important thing is our relationship with Christ himself.
Don't rely only on teachers or leaders. Your true identity does not come from the teachers or leaders you follow.
Your true identity comes from Christ alone, who lives in you.
And your identity becomes even stronger when you are united with other believers.
God did not call us to follow human leaders or to live alone.
He called us to belong to Christ and to be built together as his church, where his Spirit dwells.

We made a place where the Holy Spirit dwells, using spaghetti and marshmallows.

And we shared what we learned from this activity today!
Some friends said, "It's easier to build it together. We can't do it alone."
And some said, "It's like the church. We can't build the church by ourselves."
