Does anyone know how many books are in the Old Testament and the New Testament? 

In the Old Testament there are 39 and 3 times 9 is what? 27. 27 books in the NT. 

Do you know the names of the 66 books in English? Maybe in Korean?

Knowing the genres of the Bible is like having the right glasses.

If you wear the right glasses, you see clearly. But if you wear the wrong ones, everything looks blurry. The right ‘genre glasses’ help us see God’s Word clearly.

When you read the book of Psalms, if you put on ‘history glasses,’ you will misunderstand what it says, because Psalms are poetry and songs, not history.

On the other hand, if you read a historical book but put on ‘poetry glasses,’ you will also misunderstand the purpose of that book.

That’s why we need to know the genre of each book of the Bible—so we can read it with the right glasses and understand God’s Word clearly.

So, from today! We’re going to learn the names of the 66 books in English. And also we’re going to learn the genre of the books. Can we do that?
